A Special Note
from Dr. Appelbaum
"It is said that when you find something you love, you will never work a day in your life. I have been fortunate as I have only worked a handful of days throughout my entire dental career. My decision to go into dentistry has taken me on an incredible journey, full of my proudest professional achievements and so many opportunities. As a young twenty-something, retirement seemed so distant, and now 40 years later, it seems to have flown by all too quickly as I announce my retirement.
There are several people I’d like to thank who have been integral to my life as a pediatric dentist. First and foremost, thank you to my wife, Gail, and my family for their understanding and support of the long hours and commitments needed to build my career. To my original partner, Dr. Steven Levitt, with whom it was an honor to work with for over 25 years and grow the practice, I am forever grateful. To all the past and present team members, your care, dedication and compassion are truly appreciated.
To my patients, it has been my privilege and pleasure to have been involved in so many of your lives. I am especially honored by the former patients who have also trusted me to treat their children. I am leaving you in the care of my skilled and trustworthy colleagues.
To my current partners, thank you for affording me the opportunity to retire with the knowledge that my patients are in capable, caring hands. It is exciting to witness the growth of the practice that maintains the values upon which Dr. Levitt and I founded Dentistry for Children. I wish you continued success as the practice grows and evolves to meet today’s pediatric dental needs.
I don’t know exactly how the future will play out, but I plan on spending time continuing to learn new things, traveling and truly enjoying my family and friends. Again, thank you and my best to everyone who has been part of my journey."
With gratitude,
Dr. Murray Appelbaum
